Notice: Isaiah 7:10-17: And Yehovah spake again unto Ahaz, saying, ask you a sign of Yehovah your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above. But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt Yehovah. And he said, Hear you now, O house of David: Is it a small thing for you to weary men, that you will weary my God also? Therefore Yehovah Himself will give you a sign: behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel [God is with us]. Butter and honey shall he eat when he knows to refuse the evil and choose the good. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land whose two kings you abhor shall be forsaken. Yehovah will bring upon you, and upon thy people, and upon your father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.
Isaiah 7:14: Therefore Yehovah himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Yes, it is a double prophecy and the great revelation in this verse is that his name shall be Immanuel, which means God with us! Amazing, that for the first time in human history God would indwell a human being from the womb. Notice the following verse:
2 Corinthians 5:19: to wit, that God was in the Messiah, His anointed one, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
So here was a completely new thing, from his birth God - Yehovah was indwelling His uniquely begotten son, who was the beginning of His new creation, of which we are, as new creations in the Lord Jesus God's anointed one - Messiah - the King of Israel - which we have been grafted into - see Romans 11
In the O.T. no one had God's Spirit indwelling them, the Spirit of God was with them, but not indwelling them. But then Jesus was born having the Spirit of God, God's presence indwelling him to the full:
Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all [His] fulness dwell;
Col 2:9 For in him dwells all the fulness of God bodily.
John 3:34: For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God: for God gives not the Spirit by measure unto him [Jesus received the full measure of God's Spirit indwelling him].
We now because of what Jesus has done and is as the beginning of God's new Creation also have the honor of having the Spirit of God indwelling in us, the nature of God indwelling us:
2 Peter 1:4: hereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Wow, partakers of the diving nature given to us as new creatures [creations] in the Lord Jesus. Amazing Grace!
We are as a result of God's Spirit and nature indwelling us, the temples of God!
1 Corinthians 3:16: know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
So in the lord Jesus, we having his Spirit and the Spirit of God dwelling in us:
John 14:20: At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
We are the temple of God, have been grafted into the Israel of God, and are called the sons of God, and the children of Abraham, receiving all that God promised to him through his "seed", the Lord Jesus. We are going to co-rule with him and co-inherit with him this entire earth, as he said: "The meek shall inherit the earth." With all that has been given to us, a great responsibility is ours to carry out all he has given us the power to do. Preach the Kingdom to the whole world, even as he gave us an example to do!
And we can do that because the one whose name is called Emmanuel [God with us] is with us always! Praise be to Yehovah God, Amen.
