OUR DESTINY

 

Notice: Matthew 13:36-43: Then he left the crowds and went into a house. His disciples came over to him, and asked him, “Please explain to us the story about the weeds in the field.” Jesus explained, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. [129 – The human being, Jesus’ self-designation based on Daniel 7, Jesus is the second Adam, the head of the new creation, of human persons destined for immortality in the Kingdom] The field is the world. The good seeds are the royal children [130 – The “sons of the Kingdom”, are the royal family in training now to rule in the future Kingdom – Daniel y:14, 18, 22,27; 1 Corinthians 6:2; Revelation 2:26-27; 5:10] destined for the Kingdom. The weed seeds are the children of the Evil One. The enemy who sowed the weed seeds is the Devil. The harvest is the end of the age. [131 – The present evil nation states will be replaced by the kingdom of God when Jesus returns to inaugurate the age to come, a new society on a renewed earth] The reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are gathered up and burned, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather up every sinful thing and everyone who does evil, and will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth. [132 – The fate of the wicked is annihilation, being consumed by fire, not an “eternal torture,” about which the bible says nothing. See Malachi 4:3; Psalm 37:20] 43 Then those who are upright will shine like the sun [133 – Citing as Jesus often does, the book of Daniel (12:3). The event is the resurrection] in the Kingdom of their Father. Anybody with ears should be listening intently!

Do we see ourselves as royal children, a royal family training now to take position with the lord Jesus during his thousand-year rule on this earth? We are destined to have a place in the theocratic government that will rule over the nations under the lordship of the Messiah Jesus whom God has made lord over all, with only Himself excluded.
